One thing that comes with having a camera with a huge megapixel count is having huuuge file sizes. Sometimes, you would want to shoot at lower resolution for let’s say casual get togethers or family events. It's valuable mobile plan B or workaround to have, even professionnaly on the go. And even this is anough of an argument to have a DJI mic hanging around

I use the magnetic base, the first one, but I stick the magnet that goes inside my body to my skin with eyelash glue, and it is PERFECT!!! It works great and you can even notice when you breathe a slight movement in the shot that makes it very real, I recommend using it like this. 😎😎😎😎

I’d go for the 10-18 for more versatility. But for better low light, go with the 11mm 1.8.

Awesome review! Question about wired mode. Does the screen turn off after a few seconds or minutes? However mic is still on (green light still powered) and able to still record.

@@Christer_Nannestad you still have to charge the receiver. It doesn’t charge through the MI.

@@petitmedias6939 if you need a more stable footage without using dynamic active stab, the yes, there is a huge difference with using lenses with OSS and using one without. Right now I only have the Sigma so that’s what I’m using.

Plug usb to computer, does it need to be connected to a software or just plug it in without having to open anything?

I tried it out, but when I boost the 32-bit float WAV on any DAW, the noise floor makes my voice hard to hear Do you know what could be causing it? I’m using the same setup, no clue what went wrong ;_;

Great video! I use the tamron 17-28 2.8 with my ZVE1, it’s great quality and affordable. I actually had the Sony 20mm, but wanted just a little more width, so I sold it. Have a great time in Japan - I subbed!
Hey @@jostalking. Thanks for the comment. I had the 17-28 before too when I had the A7siii. Great value lens, I agree. I tried to buy that again this year but decided to try out the 16-35 GM II. Sold that immediately as it was too big for me. Especially when traveling. I gave the 20mm a shot, and I loved it 🙂
@@NikoBols funny I had the tamron 17-28 sold it, got the 20mm 1.8 Sony, then got the 16-35 Sony PZ, then sold it and re-bought the tarmron 17-28. I'm ridiculous

Equivalent mean equal. So the sigma crop lens is 18-50mm is equal to a full frame 28-75mm. Since the crop has a 1.5x crop.

@@glowwithgillian I’d lower the gain on the camera to about 5 and adjust the mic’s volume if I want my audio louder.

My Sony a74 works with the dji mic 2 adapter but my Sony zve1 does not. I even downloaded the latest firmware and still nothing. Can anyone help. ?

@@NikoBols I found the problem, it’s my small rig cage I had to remove it now it works perfectly!

Among the two, you'd want to go with the 18-50 for portrait photos.

Thanks! I just use LUTs as my base and do minor adjustments. I use Phantom LUTs for Rec709 conversions then use Salute LUTs from The Everything Man for a bit of grading.
